Avast’s regular use of disk can cause your antivirus software to slow down. The antivirus program has to perform numerous real-time operations like qualification scanning, laptop or computer system deciphering and PC cleaning, which requires a lot of memory and CPU power. To fix avast’s constant problems using disk, first remove any additional components or add-ons that aren’t needed. This can be done by pressing the menu button within the Avast interface. Changes in the frequency of scans is a different way to address the issue. This will disable background monitoring and checking, and limit them to occurring every once in awhile. This may cause some security issues but it will decrease the avast services high use of CPU.
You can also try to remove the behavior shield from your PC to get rid of the issue of memory usage. This can be done by pressing the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys to open Task Manager and then clicking on the Startup apps tab. Once you’ve done that you need to highlight the Avast app and click on the Disable button.
